Ford 8N and Ferguson 30
Posted in Tractor of the Week at 12:07PM on 06/22/2010

Sorry for the delay this week. Computer upgrades and severe weather have kept us busy!  Hope you have not had hail and flooding where you are.

Two tractors are up for this week!  Wayne and Gladys Petersen of Republican City sent us these two fine utility tractors.  The lighter colored tractor is a Ford 8N which Gladys tells me came from Webber, Kansas. Her husband, Wayne, does all the restoration work as a hobby. The original owner was Conley Cleveland and had to sell the Ford because of health issues.  It took Wayne for months to finish it.  What a nice job he did!  Gladys says Mr. Cleveland cried when he saw the tractor after Wayne was finished because it looked so nice.

The dark grey tractor is a Ferguson 30 tractor which came from south of Republican City, Nebraska.  Both tractors were up for sale.  The Ford was sold, but you can still pick up this nice Ferguson if you are interested.  Just email me at the address above and I will get you in touch with the Petersens.

Click on the photos for a closer look and send us your tractor or a friends tractor to the addresses above.  We just want some cool machines to share here on our blog. - Joe

I think that the ford tractor that is pictured is a 9n. the 9n tractors had the big hubs on the back and the front. A 8n has small hubs on the front and back.
Also a 8n has runing boards on the sides. Thanks for all the pictures. We will be sending a picture of my fathers 1948 8n as soon as i can get some picures of it.
