Under threatening skies we made our way to Sumner on the 4th of July in the KRVN tricked out Dodge truck.  We were quite pleasantly surprised at the turnout for the parade. People lined the entire route and everyone was having a lot of fun. When we finally set up for registrations we had a line formed before we knew what was happening. Kim and I had our two youngest children from Kansas with us, and as Kim, Terry J. and I set up, Cassie and Aaron got to work on the truck and trailer shining them up and cleaning the rain spots off. I knew there was a reason we asked them to come along! We were lucky enough to set up near the car show in downtown Sumner, as well as being close to all of the food vendors! (my favorite part of each trip). Cool cars, great food, exciting event and wonderful people! This was my first visit to Sumner, and hopefully the first of many.
