1935 John Deere Model A
Posted in Tractor of the Week at 08:47AM on 01/04/2010

A special thanks to Max Propst of Seward for stopping by to talk tractors and hand-deliver these pictures of his 1935 "A".

Max told me he doesn't have much history on this tractor.  He bought it from a fellow who, he believes, bought it on a farm sale.  Max had it restored in 2007 complete with a professional paint job and restored rims.

Yes, those are the original rims on this tractor.  Max says he had an outfit in Indiana re-do them and they guaranteed they would look like new when they were done. Looks like they were right!

Thanks, Max.  We have a couple more tractors from Mr. Popst we will feature in future weeks here on the blog. Click on the pictures for a closer look. The first one is before it was restored.
