1940 Farmall H
Posted in Tractor of the Week at 12:30PM on 01/25/2010

A big thanks to Mike Jarzynka of Loup City for submitting this great looking 1940 Farmall H.  It was purchased new in Ashton, Nebraska in 1940 by his grandfather Pete Jarzynka.  In the picture is Pete, Mike's Dad Alvin, Mike and his oldest son Aaron.

This beauty was used daily to pull a two-bottom plow, two row cultivator, mow and rake hay and was also used with a loader to stack hay. Mike says this was the tractor he learned to farm with. The tractor was restored by Mike in 1990 back to it's original condition.   Sorry to say Mike has lost his Dad and Grandfather since then, but he says he will always remember farming with them and the values they taught him.

Thanks, Mike!  That's exactly what this blog is about. Reliving those good memories that these classic tractors rekindle.
