Charles F. Steinbrink, Elwood, NE was in the army infantry.
He entered the ervice in February 25,1941 and was discharged
on February 17, 1945. He as in the foreign service for 39 months.
Private First Class was the rank that he held and he was
engaged in the ew Britain and New Guinea Campaigns.
Awards given to him were the merican Defense Ribbon,
Five Overseas Service Stripes, American Theater Ribbon,
Combat Infantry ward, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon
with 2 Bronze Stars and the Victory edal. Charles (Charlie)
served his country honorably and proudly. Submitted by
