1972 John Deere 4320

This week's tractor is a model near and dear to my heart.  We used one almost exactly identical to it on our farm near Gibbon.  What a beautiful '72 4320 submitted by Tom Wuehler of North Platte. This tractor is owned by his dad, Richard who bought it used in 1978. Tom says they used it for years haying and feeding cattle. And he says this is the machine he learned to drive tractor on. All of us remember that particular tractor from our childhood, don't we?

Before restoration, it had 10,000 hours on it with little done to it other than new seals, battery and some air conditioner work.  Richard went through the engine, injector pump and rear end recently.  After the overhaul, Tom says he added a quality paint job and genuine John Deere parts to finish it off.  I think it looks great!  Tom adds no doubt it will last another 10,000 hours. I agree.  Thanks, Tom!

It looks great. I feed with one every day with over 10,000 hours. Had to replace wire harness and fuel pump last year. JD front end had to go several years ago as 158 loader was to much for it. Might restore mine some day but for now I'm to busy using it.
