I enjoy reading both your Barnhardt.biz blog and your KRVN blog.  Your comments really strike a chord with me.  However, I have a problem.  I have tried on three seperate occasions to pick up the phone and call you, but each time I have been overwhelmed by panic and fear.  In short, I am afraid of you.  Help!

Kudos for your candor and bravery in speaking about your condition.  There is nothing to be ashamed of.  It is quite common, but is something that most folks are not comfortable in discussing.  By coming forward, you will be helping dozens of other guys just like yourself. 

I am actually an excruciatingly pleasant person by default.  In fact, I just got off the phone with a new client who described me "completely gracious".  That's what I'm going for!  Only when thoroughly provoked do I resort to "tough love" tactics when dealing with individuals in a one-on-one context.  As long as you realize that losing money on cattle is bad, losing money on cattle is your fault, and losing money on cattle is a condition that needs immediate correction, you will do fine with me.  It is the rare guy that argues that losing money is "part of the cattle business", argues that his losses are not his fault or argues that the mainstream big-wigs "just can't all be wrong" that receives the business end of my righteous axehandle of verbal wrath.  But, even then, it is always with LOVE.

Here are some other safety warnings that I am medically and legally obliged to make you aware of:

Don't speak to Ann Barnhardt if you take nitrates, often perscribed for chest pain, as this may cause a sudden, unsafe drop in blood pressure.

Discuss your general health status with your doctor to ensure that you are healthy enough to engage in conversation with Ann Barnhardt.  If you experience chest pain, nausea, or any other discomforts during conversation with Ann Barnhardt, seek immediate medical help.

In the rare event of a conversation with Ann Barnhardt lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury.
