Thank you to everyone who attended, and donated to, the Nebraska Rural Radio Foundation. Opry Star John Conlee was a hit at the banquet last night. The evening was a lot of fun.  I also  enjoyed the chance to spend some time with John Conlee at the Big John's Ford remote in Minden Friday afternoon. You can hear my interview with Mr. Conlee on my blog's audio page. He's very down to earth, easy to talk to, and is a true champion for family farms, and rural life.

The people that showed up early in Minden meet John Conlee had to wait around just a bit for his arrival. The driver that was supposed to bring John from Kearney to Minden ended up traveling west on I-80. Oops. Why?... I don't know. Seems like the long way to me too... I'm not going to name who the driver was. I'll let her tell you about it sometime. John Conlee did say that he enjoyed his tour of central Nebraska.
