KRVN's Custom Ride went to the Furnas County Fair in Beaver City on Saturday, July 24th and we took registrations fo rthe beautiful Dodge Hemi pickup that we'll be giving away later this year.  KRVN's Dave Thorell as well as Bob Brogan and his wife Barb made the trip and greeted people as they registered for the truck.  Hundreds of people took in the sights and sounds of the Furnas County Fair and Demo Derby.  Weatherwise it couldn't have been better with cooler temperatures in the low 80's and partly cloudy skies.  All in all a perfect day for a fair.

A moving tribute to the late Laura Becker of Beaver City, who died in a tragic auto accident in April, was held prior to the playing of the National Anthem.  Laura was well-known as a tireless volunteer for many community events, the local 4-H program and the Furnas County Fair.
