1959 John Deere 630 & 730
Posted in Tractor of the Week at 04:28PM on 03/29/2010

Gary Sanders from Hildreth, Nebraska gives us two tractors for the price of one this week!  We have two nice looking John Deere 30 Series models. Gary told us he is semi-retired from the construction business but loves to restore old tractors.

The 630, on the right side of the picture, is obviously a wide-front and was purchased from Schutz Brothers Equipment back in the day.  Gary is the fourth owner of this tractor which never travelled more than 10 miles from Hildreth.  It was found after a long search in a local farmer's hogs shed.  Gary gave it A LOT of t-l-c and restored it to original condition.

The 730 is a Diesel with a pony motor start. Gary says this tractor came from the Clarkson, Nebraska area. He did all the restoration and painting on this machine also.

Click on the picture for a closer look. Send us your tractors for Tractor of the Week!  My email is above.  Or, send us a photo with description to PO Box 880, Lexington 68850.
