Coach Pelini's demeanor

What do you think about Coach Bo Pelini's demeanor? If you happened to catch Coach Pelini's press conference on KRVN following Nebraska's loss to Texas Tech, you heard a very terse Bo Pelini lash out at the media and critics. One of my co-workers though he was rather rude with the media. Personally, I like the fact that Nebraska has a head coach with a little fire. I really got tired to the same “coach speak” answers that were given my our former head coach. Some of the reporters really should have know better than to ask about certain things.  "Blackshirsts"... really?  Is this time to ask about "Blackshirts"?. Did they think that Coach Pelini would bad mouth his staff or players right after the game? I'm glad the Bo Pelini is not the kind of guy that would do that.

Bo Pelini recently commented that “nothing has changed” as far as the quarterback position. We have to assume that means that Zac Lee is still the guy.

I'm interested in knowing what KRVN Country thinks. Please leave your comments below.

If people stop asking stupid questions at the most inappropriate times, he might have a little more respect for the media & sports journalists. Would you rather have a coach that had ridiculously high standards or one that gave praise for an 'ok' job?

I think Coach Bo is a great defensive coach. He seems to captivate the hearts of the players, and gets the defense to play extremely hard for him. Not so sure yet about the offense...

However, I do wish that he would calm himself down a bit. He is not helping himself by carrying on the way that he does when he rants at the officials. I am 43, have watched alot of football--heck, I even got myself kicked out of a 6th grade football game as coach(long story)--and I can tell you, harrassing the refs does you NO GOOD.

Coach Osborne is the gold standard. I can remember just a very few instances where Tom lost his cool about an official's call, and the most he might have done was wave an arm or ask for an explanation. Coach Bo needs to work with Tom to get that temper under control. Standing up for your players is one thing--but making yourself and the University look foolish is another.

That's my 2 cents.
