Happy Day! 

Last night, Hubby, Daughter and I went around and made sure all of the cows were in and all of the calves were where they were suppose to be after weaning. 

The little girl asked "What is weaning?" 

Good question - "That's when the calves are old enough to be by themselves.  They don't rely on their mom for milk anymore."  As some people may think that is terrible.  People don't give up their young quite so easy. 

My little girl explained it to me "Just like when kids go to school.  That's not bad."
