Facebook sucked less when it was just college kids and when applications didn't exist. Through some CSS trickery and a set of scripts that download the entire list of applications, I'm able to hide every one of the 14,000 applications from my friends' walls. Something goofy about the way facebook indexes their applications sometimes lets a few slip through the cracks, so you may find one or two that still show up. Send me a quick email with a link to any application pages that show up still and I'll make sure it is added to the permanent list.

To download and use this stylesheet, download the Stylish plugin for Firefox. Then from within Firefox, look at my script, click on the little Stylish icon on the bottom right corner of your browser and choose "Add File to Stylish." To check for updates for the css doc, just go back to the css script and do the "add file" thing again. It will overwrite your local copy with the latest one.

Update: the script now hides the body of the text in the news feeds.  I'll probably publish two separate versions, one that will hide news feed info and one that won't.

This script has been superseded by my Greasemonkey script that you can find here. You will also probably want to check out my facebook news feed cleaner.
