Dale D. Larkins was born on 2/14/46 in Concordia, Kansas. He served in the
navy from 11/65 to 12/67. He served aboard the USS Mauna Loa and the
ill-fated USS Liberty. The crew of the Liberty received 70% casualities
while assisting the Israeli's during the Six Day War in 1967. Ironically,
the Liberty was attacked by two ISRAELI Mirage jet fighters and, at least,
two Israeli patrol boats. For his heroic efforts, Dale Larkins received
the silver star. The crew of the Liberty is still waiting for a credible
explanation for the attack.
