Our son is currently serving in the Army in Sadr City, Iraq.

He joined the Army after graduating from high school at
Wilcox-Hildreth.  Basic training was in Fort Knox KY, then
he was stationed at Fort Carson Colorado for six weeks
prior to his deployment.  He should be coming home the
end of February 2009. Zackariah Blum, son of John and
Cathy Blum of rural Huntley NE. Zack's late maternal
grandfather, Paul Ulrichson of Alma, served in the Army at
Fort Smith Arkansas during the Korean war.  He was an
artillery instructor so never went overseas.
