1936 John Deere Model B
Posted in Tractor of the Week at 12:04PM on 11/09/2009

Here is the first of two tractors we will feature from Allen Samuelson of Bertrand, Nebraska. First up is a '36 John Deere B with mounted cultivator. We will list Allen's F20 Farmall on a later blog post.  Allen says he is the second owner of this tractor.  He bought it from an estate in 1965.  His grandfather John Denker of Phillips, Nebraska owned it first.  His first tractor on rubber. It also featured a power-lift.

Allen goes on to say John had a cultivation demonstration with this tractor June of one year when rubber tractors were few and far between. Several of his neighbors came over to watch him cultivate and were sure he wouldn't get back from the other end of the field! Afterward, some of them went home and ordered rubber tires for their own tractors. Great story.

Thanks, Allen for had submitting the pics to me in-person. Click below on the pics for a closer look.
