BUY 629# top-quality heifers @ $89.40 (not calves)

Return on the gain = $1.05 per pound

Profit per head with an $0.83 cost of gain = $34.76

OR go UP:

SELL 787# top-quality heifers @ $92.62 = $728.92
BUY 903# top-quality heifers @ $75.50 = $681.76

SO, you get 116 pounds and $47.16 per head.  I think that will cover the commission and the haul, don't you?  Put those 9-weights on feed.  Breed 'em.  Climb on their backs and ride them through the middle of town while singing Marty Robbins songs.  I don't care.  Your grandpa and I agree: Bought right is half sold, gentlemen.
