NEBRASKA COW-CALF OPERATION HIRING!

Help Wanted. 

Shamrock Ranches south of Wallace, Nebraska has an open position.  

Our operation is an exclusively forage based cattle enterprise consisting of stockers and yearlings.  We use Bud Williams Sell/Buy strategy, and low stress handling techniques.

We operate an intensive managed grazing system in the summer on grass.  In the winter we use some winter grazing on native grass and meadows, but also run stockers and take in cows on cornstalks. 

Job description: General ranch work and maintenance, along with weaning, treating, processing, and feeding cattle. There is a considerable amount of moving cattle between paddocks in our grazing system in the summer.   Grazing cornstalks in the winter would entail checking water and  cattle, fencing pivots, and moving the cattle between pivots. 

This job would entail a lot of saddle time as we use horses exclusively for our cattle handling and do some treating of sick cattle using a horse.
