Happy Day! Funny what a little more snow can go from Snow Spirit to just a pain! Lots of change in plans for everyone. Hubby has been pushing snow for the cattle for about 4 hours now and still not done.
Chad and I went to the Central Valley Ag Annual Meeting yesterday in Norfolk. Amazing official announcement of Advanced Energy Fuels. This will make a lot of efficiencies of delivering fuel to the country and the farmer pays for fuel as they use it (if they choose or they can prepay for usage as before).
Chad used to drive a tank wagon and was talking about how frustrating to be driving past a farmer's place get back to the office and then have to turn around to where he just was (and what a waste of time!)
Plus the monitoring system for the fuel tank won't cost the farmer any money to install. This rig is big but that helps make it more efficient and more reasonably priced for the farmer - no matter what size of farmer.
Yes, it is a change from the current way of doing things, but it is very exciting and proven to be accurate - looking to be in place in June.
I was planning to be in Lincoln (crazy weather) but thank goodness we have a good team that made it to Lincoln before noon on Tuesday to cover the Nebraska Power Farming Show for the stations - way to go Nikki and Sherri! And Matt Dolch!
Stay warm! Be careful!
Judy
