Up next on our Tractor of the Week is a super nice looking Farmall M owned by Don Nelson of Hildreth, Ne. I met Don at the 2007 KTIC Great Nebraska Tractor Ride.  He certainly has a love of tractor rides and these old machines.

Don says this tractor was purchased new in 1953 by his Dad.  He told me he placed the Behlen power steering unit on it when he was 13-years-old.  Shortly afterward, his Dad placed one on another tractor he happened to be driving.  Hmm, must have worked pretty well.

Don says his brother owned it and it ran but needed some work.  He bought it, fully restored it and now considers it priceless.  Don plows with it at different area plowfests, drives it in parades and takes it on a few tractor rides every summer.   Thanks, Don!
