Today has been pretty rough. I dropped my phone in a cup of coffee, my laptop blew up 5 minutes into a school assembly, and on top of it, I am convinced that God is using my body to develop some new strain of H1N1 or something. Thankfully I have halloween candy enough to get through it all.

After a day of teaching the little kids of Norfolk about severe weather safety, I am now back in my hotel room and trying to fathom the fear and pain and sorrow at Fort Hood right now. I remember well the weeks following 9-11 when I lived down at Patrick Air Force Base and so I know how things must be in Texas right now. My prayers are for the families and soldiers being affected by all of this down there right now. It is truly a sad day.
